About the conference

The Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana, is pleased to announce the 2026 edition of the International Conference on Economy, Business, Innovation, and Technology (ICEBIT 2026).

As economies transition toward more knowledge-intensive, data-driven and sustainable development models, the integration of AI, digital transformation, green innovation and responsible governance have become essential for enhancing competitiveness, productivity, resilience and inclusive economic growth.

Building on the scientific dialogue initiated by “ICEBIT 2024: Transforming Economy and Business through Innovation and Digital Solutions” and “ICEBIT 2025: Building Intelligent Economies with Resilient Innovation and Smart Specialization Strategies,” ICEBIT 2026 advances this dialogue under the theme “Advancing Intelligent Economies through AI, Digital Transformation, and Sustainable Innovation.” The 2026 edition focuses on how artificial intelligence, digital transformation, data-driven innovation and sustainable business practices are reshaping economies, organizations, markets, institutions and societies.

The conference provides an interdisciplinary research platform for examining how key actors in the economic ecosystem – businesses and SMEs, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, universities and research organizations, and governments and policymakers – are adapting their strategies, business models, skills, technologies, organizational practices and policy frameworks to an increasingly AI-driven, digital and sustainability-oriented economy. It welcomes theoretical, empirical and applied research, with particular attention to the role of AI, digital transformation and sustainable innovation in improving productivity, competitiveness, decision-making, entrepreneurship, financial systems, organizational performance and economic resilience.

The conference seeks to:
